As a media designer, VJ, and multimedia artist, Rob's interest in generative systems for audio and video and self-regulated synthetic feedback networks are continually evolving into solo and collaborations with musicians, dancers and other artists. Other areas of activity include electroacoustic music collaborations.
Rob is a 2010 recipient of a grant by NYSCA for "Down The Rabbit Hole", a multimedia piece for toy piano, music boxes, electronics and video with his collaborator, Phyllis Chen. He has performed at/created installations for Baby Grand (NYC), the Flea Theater (NYC), Listen Space (Brooklyn), Poisson Rouge (NYC), as well as in Berlin, Brussells, Taipei and Tokyo. Rob has been active as a promoter of improvised electro-acoustic music and is currently a curator of NYsoundCircuit, a multimedia salon music/arts performance series.
