Rob Dietz is a multimedia artist specializing in audio-visual performance and installations.
His work tends to fall into two distinct categories: 1. purely abstract, freeform creations (sonic
and visual entities/environments); and 2. hypermedia collages where disparate sources are merged
forming new relationships and yielding new incites. Rob is currently based in Bloomington, Indiana,
USA and has performed throughout the eastern US.
Rob performs music in several groups and guises (Dizi, xeromeM, Entia, EXO, DeepSleep SoundSystem)
spanning many styles from free improvisation to traditional chinese music to electronica. VJing is
another current focal point with such groups as EarthBoom SoundSystem worldbeat DJs, and Basilica, a
chamber grind ensemble. Rob is also the producer and video engineer for a multimedia series
called Cinesthesia. Many examples of recent work may be
found at CerumenSpoon.
